UniPass stands for UNSW Universal Password. It is a password that you use, together with your UNSW ID (staff or student number) to access secure UNSW Online Services such as myUNSW, UniMail, online Library resources and eLearning/WebCT. Some schools and faculties also require you to have a UniPass to access their online resources.

Who needs a UniPass?

All staff and students need to obtain a UniPass password otherwise they cannot access important online information and resources at UNSW. Refer to the following links on how to obtain, use or change a UniPass:

Additional information for Students:

Commencing (but not yet enrolled) students: If you have been given a student number or have a UAC number you can obtain a temporary UniPass that allows you access to myUNSW for online admission or enrolment. This temporary UniPass will not access other UNSW resources. Apply for a temporary UniPass...

Enrolled Students: Once you have completed enrolment you need to apply for a new UniPass then activate your Student Account by agreeing to the Conditions of Use for UNSW Online Services. This will allow you access to a broader range of UNSW Online Services. If you do not activate your account you can only access myUNSW.
